February 21 & 22, 2017: Inaugural UC-Wide Drug Discovery Symposium
UC Drug Discovery Symposium, hosted by UC Braid’s Drug, Device, Discovery and Development (D4) Group at UCLA’s California NanoSystems Institute. The symposium highlighted successful services and programs that support translational researchers across the UC campuses. It enabled direct access to translational resources and infrastructure across all campuses for all investigators, developed a comprehensive cross-campus drug discovery and development pipeline, and improved competitiveness of UC researchers for translational funding opportunities.
October 18 & 19, 2016: 7th Annual UC BRAID Retreat
Since 2010, UC BRAID has held an annual retreat to bring together our diverse stakeholders and discuss a vision for the future for clinical and translational research. The retreat is attended by UC campus and Office of the President leaders, faculty, and administrators. At the meeting we discuss UC BRAID’s progress to date and consider strategies for how we might address the pressing needs of researchers and our communities.
April 15, 2015: D4 Drug Discovery Alliance Planning
More than forty leaders from across the University of California (UC) system joined representatives from the biomedical industry to discuss plans for strengthening UC’s position as a leader in drug, device and diagnostics development. The meeting was part of the Drug and Device Discovery and Development (D4) initiative, a collaborative effort among UC’s five medical campuses to pool resources and expertise to accelerate the discovery and development of products that improve health.
